it's fun to stay at the YMCA!

It's kinda sad how some frames go by so fast and we don't really get to appreciate derpfaces like these..

Well.. on with the blog!

Here are my Lift and Toss Character Design rotation sheet and poses:

For the animation I redesigned the character into a slimmer librarian version just to make the torso and pelvis movements more noticeable.

We've started using Maya this year and after a few basic projects, I really enjoyed working on the most recent assignment: 'Personality-driven walk cycle'
Of course uploaded after goofing off on After Effects.. (Yes. That is my sad attempt at disco lights)

And the same walk without the effects

Inspired by Milt Kahl's Pinnochio walk cycle

Conveniently placed trees

So this is long overdue. The shmexy monster up top is my Monster's University counterpart :)
I haven't updated in a while. first few weeks of 2nd year have been pretty exciting and stressful. So here are some initial projects

A simple wave/boat/flour sack cycle to get back into animating!

And some quick layout sketches of different castles from different angles
Trying out different styles for each.
